His interest for the visuals and sounds universe, started when he studied Cinematography in California, in the late 70's. At that time, he was already experimenting with kaleidoscopes and psychedelic sounds in 8 and 16 mm films - his first experiences in mixing sounds and images - it was the beginning of videos clips and MTV.
In 1995, he founded Univision Productions, specialized in making videos for large screens and video walls projections, and registered the best events in electronic music. In association with the biggest night clubs, interviews the worlds best DJs.
At that time, brings to Brazil Top DJ's Justin Berkman (founder of the Ministry of Sound in London), Tall Paul (one of the most respected DJ's) and Jeremy Healy, (who does the sound tracks for John Galiano), to perform in the clubs "Florestta" and "Base", in São Paulo.
In 1999, in a TV show called "Contato" (aired on Rede Mulher TV), produces and directs a 10 minute segment on electronic music. Having Patricia Teixeira and Marina Renault as hostesses, interviewing DJ's such as Renato Lopes, Marky, Filipe Venâncio, among others of the electronic music scene, Flávia Ceccato, Helô Ricci and Kaká Trash. It was shot at clubs Florestta, Base, Kashmir, Gitana and Lov.e.
In tune with the electronic music culture, Ronaldo Mendonça was one of the first VJ's in Brazil, and since 1996, has been generating images for events as: J&B Club Arenas, Phillips Expression (with GodsKitchen and Nukleus), Triton, Flash Power, Cool Magazine, Tyrant Tour (Dj's Lee Burridge and Craig Richards), among others.
In 2002, produces and directs the documentary Parada da Paz, for Mercado Mundo Mix, and TV commercial aired on MTV.
Interviews with the biggest names in the e-music scene, Carl Cox, Nina Kraviz, Guy Gerber, Sven Väth, Lee Foss feat Anabel Englund, Joris Voorn, Mr. C, Bonobo, Matthew Dear, as well as Brazilian DJ´s Mau Mau, Anderson Noise, Gui Boratto - there are more than 600 interviews.
In 2007 starts SeeTheSound Produções.
Amidst all this, does various types of works, "Making Of" with Fernanda Limafor Killer Loop Eyewear, opening video for Californianan Band Penny Wise for Arnette, Chilli Beans DVD, Puma ,Guatemala Expressions surf documentary, and artists videos.
